Reiki & Energy Healing in Spain – Private, One-to-One Therapy

Reiki in Spain: Quiet, Consent-Led Energy Work to Support Recovery

Oasis Premium Recovery offers private, one-to-one Reiki in Southern Spain as a complement to psychotherapy — never a replacement for medical or psychological care. Sessions are calm, consent-led (touch or no-touch), and tailored to support work you’re already doing on anxiety, sleep, trauma regulation and burnout. If you’re comparing settings, see Rehab Spain, how our format works in One-to-One Therapy in Spain and Why Private Therapy in Spain Works, and the market view in Luxury Rehab Clinics and Spain Treatment Centres.

What Reiki is — and what it isn’t

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice delivered clothed, either with light touch or no-touch just above the body. Many clients describe it as deeply calming or “switching off the noise.” At Oasis, Reiki is used to support regulation and rest while you do the primary work in psychotherapy and skills sessions.

  • Not a replacement for medical care, diagnosis or psychotherapy.
  • No claims of cure. We use it for comfort, grounding and readiness so clinical work lands.
  • Optional. If you prefer not to include Reiki, your programme stands fully without it.

Why one-to-one Reiki in a low-exposure setting

Energy work can feel vulnerable. A quiet, private room and a consistent practitioner protect dignity and pace. One-to-one sessions allow immediate adjustments to positioning, touch preferences and session length without group pressure or waiting rooms.

What a session looks like (consent-led)

  • Arrival & check-in (5–10 min): how you slept, energy level, any pain or triggers, clear consent for touch or no-touch.
  • Position & comfort: reclined or side-lying, pillows/bolsters, warm blanket if helpful.
  • Sequence (30–45 min): quiet hands-on/off sequence from head/neck to torso and limbs; you can pause anytime.
  • Close & orient (5–10 min): slow sit-up, water, brief debrief, simple next step (light walk, journalling, TRE micro-set).

How Reiki fits with psychotherapy & skills

We pair Reiki with structured clinical work rather than using it alone:

  • CBT: calmer body state to practise thought/behaviour tools.
  • DBT skills: distress tolerance and emotion regulation benefit from reduced arousal.
  • MET: clearer access to values when noise drops.
  • TRE & breathwork: complementary body-based regulation (distinct methods, coordinated by the team).
  • Family Therapy (with consent): Reiki before/after sessions to steady nerves.
  • Optional: 12-Step integration if aligned with your preferences.

Who may benefit

  • Anxiety, hyper-arousal and sleep disruption: pair with Anxiety and Sleep work.
  • Trauma recovery: a quiet, consent-led space when words are hard. See Trauma & PTSD and Dissociation.
  • Burnout & overwhelm: steady the system to make practical changes stick. See Work & Burnout.
  • Grief & loss: soften spikes and support sleep. See Grief & Loss.
  • Recovery from substances/behaviours: support regulation alongside primary treatment. See Alcohol, Cannabis, Cocaine, Gambling.
  • Eating-related distress: calming adjunct within our Eating Disorders pathway (safety first).

Safety, boundaries & consent

  • Consent every time: you choose touch or no-touch; you can change your mind at any point.
  • Clothed, non-manipulative: no oils, no tissue pressure, no adjustments.
  • Medical note: Reiki is not medical care. Any medication plan is set by a physician; we do not prescribe or alter doses and we are not an emergency service.
  • When we don’t recommend Reiki alone: acute crisis, high medical risk, or when talk therapy takes priority. We’ll guide you to the right step.

Frequency & scheduling

Typical cadence is 1–2 sessions per week during a stay, timed to book-end higher-intensity psychotherapy days. Some clients prefer briefer (20–30 min) sessions after DBT or trauma work; others opt for a single longer session weekly.

Sample day with Reiki (Marbella)

  • Morning: light walk, breathwork, one-to-one psychotherapy.
  • Midday: skills practice (CBT/DBT), reflective time.
  • Afternoon: optional Reiki (30–45 min), followed by TRE micro-set.
  • Evening: wind-down routine, reading, sleep protocol.

Aftercare that does not expire

We step down into Lifetime Aftercare and Aftercare Support. If you want to continue Reiki at home, we can help you brief a local practitioner and align it with your ongoing CBT/DBT/TRE plan. See Life Skills & Relapse Prevention for daily guardrails.

Frequently asked questions

Is Reiki hands-on

It can be. You choose light touch or no-touch above the body. Consent is requested and confirmed each session.

What if I don’t feel anything

That’s fine. Many people simply feel calmer or more rested later. We measure success by sleep, steadier mood and your ability to use therapy skills — not by sensations in the room.

Can Reiki replace therapy or medication

No. Reiki is a complementary comfort practice. Primary treatment is psychotherapy, with any medication plan set by a physician. We do not prescribe or alter doses.

Is Reiki compatible with my faith or culture

Yes. We present it as a quiet, consent-led relaxation practice. Language and boundaries are adapted to your preferences.

How many sessions will I need

Many clients choose 1–2 sessions per week during their stay. We’ll review after your first session and adjust to what helps you most.

How to start

  1. Send a confidential enquiry. Share what you’re hoping Reiki might support (sleep, anxiety, grief, trauma pacing).
  2. Pre-admission assessment. We confirm the clinical plan; Reiki remains optional and consent-led.
  3. First session. Short trial with clear boundaries (touch/no-touch), followed by debrief.
  4. Integrate. Add Reiki into your week where it supports the heaviest therapy days.
  5. Step down. Continue via aftercare; we can liaise with a practitioner you choose locally.

Speak in confidence. If you’d like a quiet, consent-led adjunct to therapy, contact Oasis Premium Recovery to see whether Reiki fits your plan.
